Introduction

At vinha.ai, we take privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how we store it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to demos and services provided here.

1) Data we collect

  • Account data (if you sign up or log in): name, email, and basic profile info handled by our authentication (e.g., Django Allauth).
  • Messages you send in the on-site chat: for the public demo, messages may be handled locally in your browser (visual demo). If/when connected to a backend LLM, prompts and responses may be processed to operate the feature.
  • Images you upload in image recognition demos (after login): the image and derived metadata may be processed to run detection/segmentation and to improve demo reliability.
  • Technical data: IP address, device/OS/browser info, and usage logs captured by the server or analytics (if enabled) to secure and improve the site.
  • Payments/Bitcoin/Lightning (if enabled): invoice IDs, LNURL events, and basic transaction metadata for operations and fraud prevention. We do not custody your private keys.

2) How we use data

  • Provide and maintain the site, demos, and authentication.
  • Operate the LLM/chat experience and image recognition features you choose to use.
  • Improve quality, performance, and security (debugging, monitoring, abuse prevention).
  • Communicate with you about support or project inquiries you submit.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce terms.

3) Lawful basis

Where required (e.g., GDPR), we rely on: contract (to provide requested features), legitimate interests (security, product improvement), and consent (for optional features or cookies/analytics where mandated).

4) Data retention

  • Chat demo: the public demo may keep messages in your local browser storage to persist the UI. If a backend is enabled, we’ll document retention here.
  • Images: demo images are kept only as long as needed to provide the feature or as described in the specific demo page.
  • Accounts): kept while your account is active or as needed for legal obligations.
  • Logs: kept for a limited time for security and diagnostics.

5) Sharing & processors

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

  • Service providers (hosting, storage, analytics, email) under data-processing agreements.
  • Security/anti-abuse services to protect the site and users.
  • Legal authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

If we enable third-party analytics or LLM APIs, we’ll document them here.

6) Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures (access controls, logging, encryption where applicable). No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, or loss.

7) Your choices & rights

  • Access/Update: manage your account details after login.
  • Delete: request deletion of your account or demo data (subject to legal requirements).
  • Opt-out: you can opt out of optional cookies/analytics if we enable them.

To exercise rights under local laws (e.g., GDPR/CCPA equivalents), contact us as described below.

8) Cookies & local storage

  • Essential: session/auth cookies to keep you logged in and secure.
  • Preferences: UI settings (e.g., theme or chat open/closed state).
  • Local storage: the chat demo may store recent messages in your browser.
  • Analytics (if enabled): we will document vendor and options here.

9) Children’s privacy

This site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

10) Changes to this policy

We may update this page to reflect product, legal or technical changes. We’ll adjust the “Last updated” date at the top and, when appropriate, provide additional notice.
